Career Reset

You can be good at your work and know you can't keep doing it this way.

Career Reset is for neurodivergent adults whose way of choosing, doing or sustaining work has stopped producing a result they can live with.

You don't need to arrive knowing whether to stay or leave. That is one of the things we find out.

Maybe you have left a bad job, recovered, and landed in a new version of the same job. Maybe you are very good at work that costs far too much to keep doing. Or maybe you were identified late, and your whole work history reads differently now.

Or the job may already be gone. You were fired, laid off, burned out, went on leave, or reached the point where the career plan you have been following no longer makes much sense. The last thing you want may be another job that matches your current résumé.

None of that means you chose badly or tried too little. It usually means the next decision is being made with the same information that produced the last one.

What we work out

  • What has actually been happening. We look at your work history as one pattern instead of a string of separate bad jobs, bad managers and burnouts. That includes the jobs that went unexpectedly well, and what was different about them.

  • Three questions that usually get collapsed into one. Can I do this? Can I keep doing this? Do I have any reason to want to?

  • What is repairable. Before anyone blows up a career, we look at what could change where you are: duties, schedule, workload, how the work is structured, formal accommodations, and changes you can make without asking anyone's permission.

  • What work has to provide. Income, hours, location and the rest of your actual life are part of the decision from the start.

We investigate options. We don't hand you a list.

The answer might be a different employer or role, a field change or certification, a sustainable version of the work you already know, self-employment, or some combination that doesn't have a tidy job title.

So we research the real contenders. We look at actual employers and fields, find people already doing the work, check income and market realities, and test the strongest ideas on a small scale before you commit to them.

That includes training. Sometimes another credential opens a door. Often it is just another expensive thing to finish. We find out which before you pay for it.

How Career Reset runs

Your individual sessions are with Kate Lynn.

You complete your assessments before the first session, covering work preferences, burnout and executive function. The first meeting doesn't start from scratch.

There is no curriculum to march through. If the current job is in play, we work on the current job. If a field change is a real contender, we investigate the field. Résumé, application and interview work happen when they are the actual barrier, not on a schedule.

Alongside your individual sessions, you have a weekly group session. Our team picks a topic based on what the group is dealing with right now, and we workshop it together. You don't need to prepare anything. Other ND Works working sessions and events are open to you whenever they're useful, and none of them are required.

Between sessions, contact us. When something happens at work, an option needs a second look, or a decision can't wait, reach Kate Lynn or our team then instead of holding it for the next appointment.

What you leave with

A decision you can defend, and steps already underway. You will know which directions are strongest, what conditions you need for work to hold, and which risks not to repeat.

You also receive a written report that lays out strategies and tools for your specific executive function profile.

And when the next job or arrangement starts, we use what we learned so that succeeding at it doesn't rebuild the old problem.

What Career Reset is not

It is not therapy, diagnosis or motivation. It is career strategy, and it works well alongside a therapist if you have one.

Need a job right now?

That's Fast Track. Career Reset is for working out what the right move is. Fast Track is for when you know the kind of job you're looking for and need to get hired.

Cost

Six sessions, $1,020. Payment plans are available.
